Wildfire Information
The wildfire situation is active in parts of British Columbia and Alberta. At this time, there is no impact to the rail lines we operate on or the destinations we travel to. The safety of our guests and crew is our top priority and we will continue to monitor the situation closely to evaluate any potential impact.
At this time, all Rocky Mountaineer journeys are scheduled to depart as planned. If there is a change to your journey, our team will reach out to you directly.
Canadian Railway Labour Action
Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) and Canadian National (CN), the companies that own and operate the rail lines Rocky Mountaineer travels on, are facing potential strike action by unionized workers. Rocky Mountaineer employees are not involved; however, if there is labour action, it could impact our train operations.
At this point, it is not certain if or when the labour strike will take place, as negotiations are ongoing between the rail companies and the unions. The unions are required to provide 72-hours' notice in advance of any work stoppage.
Our guests’ safety and comfort are our highest priorities, and our team is working on a contingency plan should the there be an impact to our rail journeys. If there is a change to your journey, our team will reach out to you directly.

For Guests Travelling on Rockies to the Red Rocks
Denver is situated at a high altitude of 5,280 feet (one mile high) above sea level. While some visitors to Denver don't notice the difference in altitude, for some they may develop symptoms of altitude sickness such as headaches, nausea, loss of appetite, or breathing difficulties. Please make sure to allow your body time to adjust to the altitude especially if you are travelling from sea level. Drink plenty of water, eat and watch your alcohol intake. If you develop any of these symptoms while travelling with us, please let our team know.
